The International Summer School of Fudan University
for Graduate Students on Physics
To enhance international academic exchanges, and to stimulate the summer research atmosphere for graduate students in physics, physics Department of Fudan University continuously organizes a series of international physics summer schools. It is hosted by Fudan University and organized by Physics Department, leveraging resources from the State Key Laboratory of Surface Physics. With a focus on internationalization, cutting-edge research, and interdisciplinary integration, the Summer School offers an exceptional platform for outstanding graduate students to expand their horizons and exchange ideas.
Each year, the theme of summer school alternates among four sub-disciplines: condensed matter physics, optical and atomic molecular physics, theoretical and computational physics, and particle physics and nuclear physics. The focus of 2024 is Optics, with an emphasis on cutting-edge areas such as nanophotonics, nonlinear and ultrafast optics, and quantum optics. In 2025, the topic will be statistical physics, focusing on the basics and frontiers of soft matter, complex systems, and thermal metamaterials. We invite more than ten international top scientists, who are leaders in their fields and possess extensive teaching experience, to conduct lectures in English on the most current trends and topics in the optical field. In addition, thematic seminars and academic poster presentations will provide students attending the conference with opportunities for in-depth exchanges with international experts, encourage interdisciplinary thinking, and inspire innovative ideas.

为加强国际学术交流与对话,活跃物理系研究生暑期科研学术氛围,推动一流学科建设,提高研究生培养质量,复旦大学物理学系将组织系列国际物理学暑期学校。由复旦大学主办,复旦大学物理学系承办,国际暑期学校以国际化、前沿性、融合交叉为特色,为优秀学生拓宽视野、交流思想提供一流的学习平台。
复旦大学物理国际暑期学校每年的主题在凝聚态物理、光物理与原子分子物理、理论与计算物理、粒子物理与原子核物理这四个二级学科中轮换。2024年的主题是光物理,聚焦微纳光学、非线性和超快光学以及量子光学这3个前沿领域。2025年的主题为统计物理,将围绕软物质与复杂系统、热超构材料领域展开。暑期学校的主要形式为系列讲座与研讨会,每年邀请10多位活跃在该领域学术前沿并有丰富教学经验的国际著名学者为授课教师,全英文集中讲授相关领域的前沿和热点。此外,专题研讨、学术海报展示等活动将为学员提供与国际专家深度交流的机会,鼓励跨学科思维碰撞,激发创新灵感。
